Flashback Friday

Here is a picture of me in first grade. The dress is one from my uncles wedding and my cousins and I had dresses that were the same just different colors. It is so awesome because it is a long dress that goes to my shoes. I think I had a lot of those back in the day. I still have the dress in my closet so maybe I'll break it out and let Isabel wear it.

What the...

Ever since I quit getting highlights and have just gone back to my natural color I have found that I have a bit of gray hair. So today before I got my hair colored again to touch up the gray and I was looking at the unsightly gray I noticed the zit in the middle of my forehead. Come on--what is the deal with having gray hair and a zit. Gray hair=old, zits=young, so I guess that makes me middle aged!!!

Easter Dresses

My mom got the girls Easter dresses. Everyone was happy about their dresses except Meg. In fact, this purple dress she is wearing is not the green dress she got for Easter. She refused to put it on. I told my mom she probably wouldn't want to wear it. She is so picky these days. So, here is Meg in her purple dress she wants to wear almost every Sunday. Anyone at church, she does have more dresses, I just don't want to put up the fight every week. I am picking my battles, and this one she can win. Mom, I still have the tags and reciept to the green dress!!

Happy Easter

Family in Town

It was Spring Break this week and since the weather was so great I talked my mom and sister in to coming down and visiting. We had a lot of fun going to the park to feed ducks, the Shark Reef, the movie "Horton hears a Who" and the Butterfly Park. My kids love to see Grandma and play with thier cousin Ethan. Here is a picture of my mom when she didn't know I was taking it. She is watching the kids at the Shark Reef.

The girls are at the Shark Reef. Isabel is listening to the tour above and all the kids are posing for a picture below.

Fun at the Park

We love the "Butterfly Park". The kids had lots of fun there.

Flashback Friday

Okay I am so living in the early 2000's without a scanner at home. One day I will actually make it up to the studio and get my pictures scanned myself, but until then you will have to keep looking at my poor attempts of posting old pictures. So here are some engagement/wedding pics.

Why do the photographers make you do cheesy pictures? It looks like Matt has no legs in this picture!!!

Loud Kids

So today I am walking through the grocery store with Meg. We head down an aisle with no one there. I had a little toot and I let it out. Okay--we all do it, don't deny it. Of course Meg in her super loud 3 year old voice says " Mom, you FARTED!" Of course I say "no I didn't" and she says again super loud "Yes you did mom". Needless to say I was a little embarassed to walk out of that aisle, but whatever--farts happen.

My baby's 3!!

Happy Birthday Meg!!! We didn't have a "party" with friends but we went to the park on Friday and had cupcakes and played. On Saturday we had cake with the family and opened presents. Meg got her 3 year old quilt from Grandma. This tradition started from Grandma Callister, who made quilts for all her grandkids when they turned three. My mom continued on the tradition and Meg was happy to get her quilt.

Fishing Derby

This weekend was the annual Fishing Derby. We have been doing this for several years. It is always fun. Many of the people who sign up and go are people from the ward even though it is a city event. We got there early and got our spot on the dock. Meg caught the second fish and then didn't really want to do it anymore. Mattison caught 3 fish and Isabel caught one and then decided she was done too. It is great because there are prizes and donuts and lots of friends. Later that night we had the Fish Fry with our friends. Matt was the only one from our family that actually ate the fish, the rest of us ate hamburgers and hot dogs and had fun being with friends.
