Take your child to work day-- Part 1

Last Thursday the girls got to miss school and go with Matt to work. Luckily, Matt's day was rearranged so he was home to take the girls at 8:15 a.m. instead of 5:00 a.m. So they headed out with Dad to a home health visit at a home of an older man.

This is what the man's wife gave Matt while they were at the visit. Pink underwear!!
Apparently they had company and the man who had stayed with them purchased some new underwear. When he washed them before wearing them he turned them pink. He left the newly purchased pink underwear with the old couple. I guess they thought Matt might need some new underwear. Not wanting to get in an underwear discussion, Matt took the underwear. So we have some great pink underwear available on ebay if anyone is interested.

Part 2--Fitness Together

Matt had to go train a few clients so the girls took advantage of the time to exercise themselves.

What great form they have while exercising.

Part 3--Lunch, Physical Therapy Clinic--Mesquite

So after Fitness together Matt and the girls headed out to Mesquite to meet with another therapist and do some work at a clinic.
Matt took the girls out to lunch with another physical therapist. They went to a Chinese restaurant. The girls don't eat Chinese food. Can you tell?
Isabel is cautiously checking out her food.
Driving in the car again.
At the clinic.
Goofing off on the rolling chairs.

After Mesquite at 5:00 p.m., I meet Matt off the I-15 to get the girls because he was on his way to Henderson to another visit. They had a great day with Dad!

Fitness Fridays

Las Vegas Now | What's Cool at School

Here's a video of Matt at work. I think he needs to do this at my kids school.

Flashback Friday

Disneyland 1970 something. Here we are with our cousins the Bauers at Disneyland. My mom is the one with the glasses. I think my Dad must have been taking the picture because the other adults are my Aunt Grace and Uncle Gary. Of course Stacey and I are sitting by eachother on the ground and then there is Johnny and my brother Donovan holding books over his head. My Uncle Gary is holding my cousin Chris.

Thursday nights just got more interesting again!

Welcome back Dr. McDreamy!!!

Once in a Lifetime experience

My kids are outside playing and the Ice Cream man comes around. Of course they want some ice cream and Mattison tells me "Mom, it's a once in a lifetime experience!" Umm, not now that the ice cream man knows that we have a street with kids who come running.

On another note, can I just tell the blogging world that I hate stains on clothes. I seriously had a mini melt -down today when Isabel came in from riding her bike with her clothes all wet because she had fallen in a puddle. Of course they were new clothes (not the ones in the above picture I just wanted to add a picture to this post) that were light colors. There was dirt and the black roads we have here leave serious stains. We had to quickly change clothes and presoak and then wash and scrub. I know I have made my kids a little OCD about stains too. Meg starts out in one outfit a day and then she gets one drop on her clothes and thinks she has to change them. That is why if you see Meg by the end of the day her outfit rarely matches. She changes her pants or shirts several times a day. Not that mismatching is any better than stains, I just hate ruining things. So, I know I will probably get comments about Oxy clean and Spray and Wash, but trust me I am the master at stain removal AND mini-melt downs. Just ask my kids (and Matt too because he called in the middle of this last one).

Birthday Picture

I had a great birthday with a little shopping, a little pizza, a little bit of soccer practice and my parents came into town to bring back Matt's car. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming and visiting on my birthday!!! Matt even made it home for dinner. Thanks Matt!!!

More Fun from Utah

I never finished posting some fun pictures from Utah when we were there a few weeks ago. We went to a Jumping place that had tons of trampolines and bounce houses. The girls had a great time bouncing around.

Flashback Friday--birthday edition

Here are some pictures of birthdays from years past. I think this first picture is when I turned 6. I am just guessing this because my sister is the baby there are she was born in 1980. Don't you love the clothes?

Here is a picture of me and Matt when I turned 19. This was the big bow period. Don't ask me why.

I couldn't take it!

Okay, I caved. I couldn't take the heat in the house. It reached 86 degrees in my house yesterday and I tried to stay strong, but I couldn't take it anymore. That's why we are on level pay with the power company right?

We also had to do a little of this yesterday in the backyard to keep the kids cool. Ahhh, Spring in Vegas!

Spring Soccer

Soccer started again. This season Isabel is on the PURPLE PANDAS and they had a great first game. If you can't find Isabel in the picture just look for the tallest person in the group. Yup, that's our Isabel. She is the tallest and probably the oldest because she is in the 5-6 year age group because she has a late birthday. Most of her friends have moved up in the league because they have already turned 7. We are taking her birth certificate to each game in case we are questioned. Isabel had a great game and scored a few goals. It should be an interesting season and we are sure HOT!!! It is supposed to be 90 today, but I am refusing to turn on the A/C yet.

Flashback Friday

This flashback Friday is dedicated to my sister-in-law Janae, who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. This is a picture of my friend Amy and then me, with the gigantic glasses and then Janae. We were at Lake Powell chilling out on the houseboat. I think this was in 1991 right before my brother left on his mission. Hey Janae "drag me a little!"

Good times in Utah

While we were in Utah we went over to Matt's parents aka Nanna and Bubba. We had a dutch oven dinner on Sunday. Here are the girls with Braza and Bacon and Bubba. Bubba is the one with the least amount of hair in the middle.

Here is a picture of Nanna. She doesn't like her picture to be taken. Isn't her hand beautiful?

Oh, wait--she did decide to let us get a picture of her. We had to pay her though.
And we don't know who that man is in sitting in the middle of the girls. He just seems to be there everytime we are there. We think he likes free meals. He sure is entertaining though.

I have a lot more pictures of our trip but I think I'll post some each day to make life more interesting for all of you. The suspense, I am sure, is killing you....

Ranch Exit 100

I did find one picture on my camera of our 2 hour lay-over. Doesn't it look exotic?

Car Adventures

It's track break for the girls so I had planned on coming up to Utah to visit my family. Originally I was going to bring the van to have my dad do a little work on the brakes, but then Matt's car started having problems so I decided to bring it up here. We took his car in last Tuesday because it started making noise and they fixed the axel and then there was still a noise so they said "the transmission might be going out" so I talked to my dad and since we could get it fixed up here I decided to make the trip since they told me the transmission wasn't that bad yet. We left really early, because I hate the drive, and I drove under the speed limit as to not cause any more transmission issues. Not driving above the speed limit is a killer. I mean it took me almost 2 hours to get to St. George. So we get to Cedar City and get gas. Things are fine, the car is a little bit more noisy, but we continue. We get about 30 min. outside of Cedar and the car starts shaking and the sterring wheel is crazy. I pull off at Exit 100, it's just a Ranch Exit, because it feels like a flat tire. It's not, so I call my dad and say I'm going to try to keep going. As I am pulling away a trucker also off at that exit tells me my tire is wobbling like crazy so I pull off and start making calls. My dad was going to drive 3 hours to get me, but then Matt's fabulous sister and brother-in-law Shelly and La Grand come from Cedar City to the rescue. We were at the exit for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours because we were making calls and figuring out what to do and then getting a trailer, but we were rescued. Now, if you will refer to the post after Christmas you will see that we were broken down on the road then too. Sadly, Shelly and LaGrand have rescued me in the middle of nowhere several years ago. Why do you ask do I keep driving by myself---I'm crazy. We got the car to Orem and the people who fixed my car earlier in the week either did something wrong or obviously didn't fix the problem which has caused more problems in the car. Thankfully I have a great family who has helped us out and my Dad is going to fix the car. Also, my kids were great at the Ranch exit. We sat on a blanket and had snacks, counted trucks went on a walk and peed in a bush. Wait, that was just me and let me tell you Mattison was so mortified. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Here's the bummer, my batteries on my camera were used up so I didn't get pictures. We don't even know if the tranmission is the problem. I swear when I win Mega Bucks I am getting a new car and one for all of you who also have car problem.
