Biggest Loser

At work they are doing a Biggest Loser Contest where teams earn points for being healthy. We get points for cardio, weight lifting, drinking water, sleeping 8 hours, eating fruits and veggies, no soda, limiting sugar intake and weight loss. So I have been trying to get my servings of fruits and veggies in and tonight I was eating grapes and carrots and Mattison says to me, "Mom, I've never seen you eat fruit and vegetables like that. You usually just eat chocolate".

So true Mattison, so true.

Long Sunday Afternoons....

and we get creative with stuff found in the garage.

Puddle Jumping

September is kindof a bad month for me. Not to make this post all boo-hoo, but yesterday was my anniversary (you know, when I got married in 1996) so technically it's an un-anniversary. And also, let's not forget that just over a week later I got "the news" which eventually ended my marriage. So, it's the beginning and the end to that crazy ride I was on. I have been a little nostalgic this last month...missing my house, my friends, my ward, my PTO days (yes even those crazy times), basically my old life. Yesterday when the rain starting coming my girls and I do what I love to do...jump in the puddles. Perfect way to end the lame-o day, because we LoVe the rain!

I know my neighbors think I'm crazy, and I am. I'm the crazy single lady.
p.s. I am going to be changing my blog address soon! I just need to come up with a new one. Suggestions?

St. George

Over Labor Day the girls and I went down to St. George with my friend Traci and her kids Ellie and Ethan. Ellie and Mattison are the same age and Ethan and Izzy are the same age so it makes for some fun times.

Here we are at Jacob Hamlins home. We visited there on Sunday after church.

We went to a really fun park with some fun spinning toys. It's hard to tell how fun it was in this picture of Mattison though. That's just pre-teen smiles.

We had a little Mexican food for dinner and the girls got their picture taken with Pablo.
A little shopping with the kids. We acted like we didn't know them when they were running through the store like this.
And of course....POOL TIME!

First Day Of Preschool

Wednesday Meg went back to preschool with Ms. Gina. She was excited to go and be with friends.

Cousins!

I love my cousins, I love my kids cousins. I think it is so spectacular to have fun cousins. I used to LoVe to go to Idaho and spend time with some of my favorite people....my cousins. I still love to get together with some of my cousins and "gossip" like we did up at the farm. Good times indeed.

While I was looking over some of my summer photos I realized I had some awesome pictures of cousins visiting that were never posted.

Meg and Jyllian outside playing with bubbles.
Random shot which was obviously taken by some sneaky camera stealing girl!

Isabel, Jasmine and Mattison at Jasmine's sisters wedding reception. Nice face Isabel.

While the cousins were here there was a bunny running around the neighborhood. Those kids spent hours (maybe only one) trying to catch it. It would hide behind the bushes, they would try and chase it down. It went under a car, they tried to poke it out with a big stick. When they were offered money to catch it they got really crafty and figured out a way to catch that bunny. They came screaming through the neighborhood carrying that bunny. There was, however, one problem....they had to return the bunny to it's rightful owner. The kids put it in a box and were carrying it when it peed. Yes people, peed in the box which leaked out over Dreyton (the box carrier) and therefore those cousins had to get crafty again and put the box on a skateboard so no more pee would escape the box. After all, bunny pee is disgusting.
And if you don't believe there actually was a bunny in the box, the picture below is the proof. And not only that, look at the face on Dreyton. I believe that is him being officially grossed out by the pee in the box.

Awesomely good times with cousins.
