Flashback Friday

Happy Halloween 1980 something. Almost every year growing up I was dressed as a witch. However, this year I decided to go as Wonder Woman. Of course in Utah it is cold at Halloween so I had to wear pants instead of the complete outfit. That is my brother Donovan with me. He really liked Star Wars.

Here to prove the love of Star Wars is a birthday party that Donovan had that was Star Wars themed. Of course I was none other than Princess Leia. I think my Dad even made a Darth Vader pinata.
In case you all couldn't see the beauty of the bun making skills my mom had,here is a close up of me. Check out those buns--(the hair buns of course). I remember going to see Star Wars in the theater and Princess Leia even sat next to me. It was so exciting. The girl next to me is my best friend growing up, Amie. Hi Amie!

Flashback Friday

Since it's Memorial Day weekend I thought I would post some pictures from our Memorial Day weekend in 2005. We went to Sea World that year. Here are Mattison and Isabel above the ocean.

Isabel's Teeth

Isabel lost another tooth today and we wanted to show everyone her teeth. Since it is Nana's birthday we are dedicating this picture to her.

What's been going on

We have been quite busy lately. There have been soccer games and soccer pictures. Dance classes and dance pictures. On Saturday we had Isabel's soccer game and it was so hot. It was around 100 degrees that day so I think it must have been 90 during her game. The poor kids were so hot. After soccer we had to run home and get Mattison ready for her dance pictures. Luckily she doesn't like ballet so she decided to skip those pictures and only do her Tap/jazz pictures. I say luckily because Isabel's soccer game and dance pictures were too close in time for us to make both without skipping some of the soccer game. Last Friday the girls had Field Day at school. Luckily it wasn't 100 degrees and there was a little breeze so it was okay to be outside. Not to mention the kids got wet during some of the games.

Here she is all wet. Her class got into a water fight even though the teachers said not to do it.

On Thursday there was a PTO sponsored dance. Here is Meg sporting her new haircut.

She was a dancing queen on the floor. I know this picture looks like she is sleeping, but believe it or not, this is one of her "moves". Mattison came late because she was at dance class and Isabel danced a little, but never for me on camera.
Here I am with some members of the board who put on the dance. Even though it was a family dance, none of the parents would dance--except Cheryl and me who made fools of ourselves trying to get the kids to "Ride the Train", Chicken Dance, do the YMCA and the Limbo.

Last weeks the girls had their awards assembly for 2nd trimester. We are always proud of the great work they do.

Here is Isabel with her teacher. We made her a teacher appreciation candy bar poster. We have been really lucky with great teachers.

Spring Mountain Ranch

This past Saturday we went up to Spring Mountain Ranch again. We love it up there. It is so nice to get away from the city and see the mountains and play and run around. We went with a few families and brought our neighbors as well. Here are the Mattison and Isabel with our neighbor. Mattison thinks it is so funny to do the bunny ears on people in pictures now.

Family photo up by the lake. Luckily it is just a little "nature walk" to get to the lake because not all people in my family like hiking (mostly just me).
