At church today...

Meg leans over and says "the Holy Ghost just talked to me". She cracks me up.

First Day of School

I'm getting old...I have a 5th grader and 3rd grader. When did they get so grown up? They used to look like this!

A side note--
I did have a total working mom melt-down the other day. I completely freaked out at Isabel because she wasn't getting ready fast enough and was whining (I have no patience for that). I was trying to finish getting ready, pack lunches and make sure the girls were ready too. So I really lost it! However, I did redeem myself by taking the girls to an Owlz baseball game that night where we won a Wii! A freaking Wii!!!

Faulkners Visit

I found my camera cord!

Last week our friends the Faulkners were in town visiting. They invited us over to have a BBQ. My girls were so excited to hang with them.

Me and Kathy
Crazy girls
Eating a little corn on the cob
There were bees flying around and the girls didn't like them at all. Gracie was particularly scared so she grabbed Isabel to protect her.

We miss you guys! Thanks for the fun night.

Where have I been you ask?

First...I cannot find my cord to download pictures of the first day of school and visiting with the Faulkners and oh so much more. I am really bummed about that.

Second....Last year I was working as a teacher's aide at Lakeridge Jr. High school. About a week before school started they administration contacted me and asked me to long term sub for a teacher who is out for medical reasons. Now, she is actually a teacher whose contract is split between two schools, Lakeridge and Orem Jr. On A days she is at Orem and B days at Lakeridge. Really I almost started laughing when they asked me to do it because they are asking me to be a full time teacher at a little more than sub pay. So I asked lots of questions, talked to lots of people, contemplated and decided I was crazy enough to do it. So, last week I started in the schools setting up classrooms, getting around to all the paperwork (there is so much in special ed) and getting ready for school to start. The 7th graders came yesterday and now we are in full swing of school. I should be doing this at least until January so I'm hoping I don't go completely insane...I'm half way there already though!

Texas Roadhouse

I got to hang at the Texas Roadhouse with my girl Melissa and enjoy some good rolls and good company. I don't know what I am going to do now that I have had a lot of my friends visit me over the last few weeks. Probably go crazy and go and visit them.
Peace out Queen B.

Cardalls Visit

The Cardalls came up to Utah for a visit with their family. While they were here we were able to get together. We hung out at home for a bit and then went to McD's for a little lunch. It was like old times. After the kids had a played a little we even got them ice cream....because then they will be even more happy at McD's.

When I asked Garrett for a pic he put even more ice cream all over his face for an even better picture.
Mattison trying to make a run from the camera.

Meg saving a little bit of her cone on her cheek.

Eating up the good stuff.

Chilling with our diet cokes. And that is my "secret boyfriend" in the background.

Best buds Izzy and Tyler.

Of course those two video gamers had to play a little DS together. It wouldn't be old times without doing that.
Meg and Garrett hanging out. You know you have a good friend when they come over and you just don't even care that the beds aren't made and you didn't even pick up the room. That's the kind of friend I have in Cheryl! Who cares if it's messy...she's seen it before at my house. We love your guts Cardall fam!

Family Pics

When all the grandkids were here we got some pictures taken for my mom. My sister in law Janae's SIL Amanda took the pics. While I was there she also took some individual pictures of the girls. I even jumped in few with the girls even though I wasn't planning on it.

I love this one of Meg's cheese and her eyes closed. It's so Meggy boo.

This one has a few cheesy smiles. My sister's little baby Emma was only 2 weeks old in the pictures.

Isabel's baptism

WARNING: This post has a lot of pictures.

Isabel was baptized on Saturday. It was a really special day. We are so proud of Isabel for choosing to be baptized. We had a really great meeting. I am going to be honest, I was actually worried how the whole service would go. It was the first time that all the Thomas family and the Lott family has been together since the divorce. I was worried there would be drama because there have been a lot of hurtful feelings back and forth. I wasn't even sure who would show up from the Thomas family. Of course the Thomas family and my family were very supportive and all involved were able to show their support for Isabel, and really that's what it is all about.

Love Meggy's cheesy smile and eyes!

My Sonic buddy from Vegas Cheryl and her family came to support us. Love them.

Some Thomas cousins.

Isabel's Grandma and Grandpa Thomas

My sister Karen, my brother Bryan and me.

More Thomas cousins.
Even more Thomas relatives.

Izzy and Tyler Cardall. Best buddies. I love these two pictures because they are both taking turns looking at the camera.

Meggy Boo with buddy Garrett (possible future husband, she can't decide between Garrett and Will)

Me and Isabel and my Dad. My Dad baptized and confirmed Isabel. We were so glad we have him!
