Today I started a new job. I was needing to get some hours in a classroom to work towards getting my teaching certificate back. I was going to start substituting but they were not accepting any applications. So I got a little job being a teachers aide in special ed. So far it's pretty fun. It's nice to be able to walk out of the classroom and not have to worry about paperwork and lesson plans for tomorrow. Thanks to my mom for watching Meg and the girls and also for missing out on going to Curves with her buddy. It's only until the end of the school year so I thought we would try the whole "working" thing out.

If nothing else it will give you something to do and get you out of the house. You have a good mom. And she will get closer to the girls this way.

I'm so excited for you, Kristen! How great that you can be with kids, earn some mula, and not have as much stress as the teacher! I'm interested to know...which grade would you want to teach if you teach in the fall?
Good luck with the new job. My sister is a teacher's aide and she really enjoys it. Both my parents are teachers too, and I have to say teachers don't get paid nearly enough for all their hard work. It is such a wonderful job to have and I hope you are able to get your teaching certificate back soon. We need good teachers like you!
Congrats on the new job! Aaron has an interview for being a sub here next Monday.
Congrats on the new job! I bet it is nice to get out a little bit and do something you like! You were always amazing with special ed so you'll do great!! Cute background by the way too! =)
It really is an inconvenience for me to have your mom not able to come to Curves. Mainly because I spend half of my time answering the question, "Where is Anne?"
If you ever need a question answered about the location, emotional well-being, sense of humor, or psychological state for Anne...just let me know. I can provide a wealth of info on any of those topics about her. Right, Mom??
You are so brave. Look up my friend Angela Day when you start looking for a permanent position. She's been teaching in Utah for about 12 years now. She has mostly worked in the Nebo School District. Tell her I told you to call, pick her brain, she would be a great contact for you. She is also single and may be able give you some names in that department too. She recently did her masters in Teaching Administration.
How exciting to be able to work in a school and get a little cash while you are doing it. Are you working in the same school as your girls?
